In-Person Services
Businesses regularly involve person-to-person interactions between employees and customers, yet employees may not be adequately trained to accommodate individuals with disabilities.
Website Services
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) provides technical guidelines for making websites accessible to people with disabilities, including those who are blind or have low vision, and help businesses reduce accessibility barriers and potential litigation risks. Additionally, the ADA requires hotel reservation systems and event ticketing services to provide sufficient accessibility information for individuals with disabilities to determine whether accommodations or seating meet their needs.

Accessibility Tax Credit
To encourage businesses to comply with ADA accessibility requirements, the federal government offers tax incentives for qualifying accessibility improvements, including certain website modifications.
Section 44 of the Internal Revenue Code provides a tax credit for eligible small businesses, while Section 190 allows businesses of any size to claim a tax deduction for qualifying architectural and transportation barrier removal expenses.
The primary difference between a tax credit and a tax deduction is how each reduces taxes. A tax credit directly reduces the amount of taxes owed, while a tax deduction reduces taxable income before taxes are calculated.
